Overview

Residents can add various types of payment methods in order to make one time or scheduled payments through payquad. In order to make a payment there must be a payment method on file.

If there is an error or a change needs to be made in the payment method, it cannot be edited. It must be deleted and recreated.

Steps:

Setting up a Payment Method:

  1. Click on Payments at the Top of the screen or View History in the Payment box. On the app, the menu appears at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Select Payment methods

  3. Click New Method. The existing payment methods will be listed.

  4. Choose Credit card (Visa/MC for a 2.5% service charge), Visa/MC Debit (for a 0.99%) service fee or “direct debit” (usually no charge).
NOTE: Check as per the screenshot, as the charges can vary.

  5. If selecting a debit card, or  credit card, simply put in banking information, and press “Create Payment Method

  6. With a direct debit payment method, select either Manual or Online

    When selecting online

    Click Start

    1. Click Continue  and select the bank - it can be searched for if it's not on the list

    2. There will be a screen to Log into the online banking as seen below.

    3. It will go through the process of linking the bank account. There will be a process of verification on the part of the bank. Sometimes it sends a code via text message or email.

    4. If there are issues it can be linked manually.
    When selecting manual

    1. Click Continue

    2. Give the Payment method a name. This will help identify the payment method if there are multiple accounts being set up.

    3. Enter the account number, transit number, and institution number found at the bottom of a cheque.

    4. Make sure the numbers are entered accurately

    5. Click Verify and Save

  7.  Once there is a payment method it can be used for Scheduled payments or One Time payments.
